“A good caricature can often say more and achieve a greater effect than a good and witty written article.
Its beauty lies in the fact that, contrary to exaggeration, it seems true.”
– Mosha Pijade
ABOUT
Caricature and print newspapers are equally old in these areas.
Facing numerous governmental repressions, the caricature tries to mock the system on which the lives of the “little man” depend,
who had to constantly adapt to survive. Caricaturists of all generations are created precisely for the “little man”,
trying to cheer him up and make him laugh bitterly with true but funny drawings.

which presents a mirror of Serbian and Yugoslav caricatures.
Precisely because of its historical position in relation to other forms of fine and applied art,
this part of our cultural heritage deserves to be included and presented in one place.
